La Luna weaves the natural environment into the world of intimates

Like it or not, this is a fast-paced world we live in. We’re all very aware of how humanity’s appetite for quantity over quality has impacted the fashion industry, but brands like Byron Bay’s La Luna give us hope, with its collection of handmade botanically dyed intimates aiming to slow us down and reconnect us all with the natural environment. Yep, your underwear could change the world.

Thankfully, there are more and more people becoming conscious of what they are wearing, how it’s made, what it’s made from, who is making it and where. While many of us fall into this category, a fair chunk of us would probably not give the ethical attributes of our underwear a second thought. La Luna’s pieces are made from sustainable organic cotton and are hand-dyed with all-natural botanicals to create unique colours and marbled effects – and there’s not a synthetic thread in sight.

La Luna launched in Byron Bay in mid-2017 with its flagship Wildflower collection, showcasing a series of comfortable, easy-to-wear bralets, bottoms and full pieces in soft tones like dandelion yellow, lilac and cinnamon. In a few weeks time, the latest collection called Daydreamer will be released, featuring a range of new styles in soft pink and earthy green tones. Time to make your underwear drawer ethical, sustainable and goddamn pretty? Head online for a gander.
