Karmme merges handmade appeal with timeless design to craft everyday leather essentials
Australian leather accessories brand Karmme was born out of pure necessity. Its founder, Imby Langenbac, had neck surgery and couldn’t carry a bag on her shoulder. She needed to go out with her phone, keys and purse together, but didn’t have enough hands to hold it all. She needed something that was easy, something she could hold from just a mere corner, scrunch up, or fold under her arm – and that’s how Karmme came to life.
The Karmme collection features a range of pouch-like clutches, which are crafted by hand using premium Italian leather – as with all top-quality leather pieces, they get better with age and as such tend to ‘fit your hand’ after a while.
The classics come in a range of tans and subtle hues, while the metallics range features a range of eye-catching shimmering styles. The Desert Tales series showcases a range floral-embossed pieces inspired by the Australian outback, while the unique shibori range brings the traditional Japanese artform to life with functionality and finesse.
