If we asked you to think of a sex store, what does your mind conjure up? For us, we tend to think of aged, neon-lit warehouses that sit uninviting on the side of the highway. That’s not the case for the coast’s newest sexual wellness boutique, Hall of Harper, which resembles a speakeasy-cum-art-gallery (pardon the pun).

Dubbed ‘the Gucci of sex stores’, Hall of Harper isn’t your average adult shop. The sexual wellness boutique was founded by local Gold Coast-based sisters Mollie and Charlotte O’Sullivan, and strives to be a change maker in the adult and sexual wellness industry. “Hall of Harper aims to be a refreshing, inclusive, calm sanctuary where sex toys are displayed like jewellery and art.” says Charlotte. Like a hidden bar, its entrance on Surfers Paradise Boulevard is concealed from the naked eye. Once you walk through the doors, you’ll be met with a speakeasy-esque space coated with velvet curtains, a champagne bar and erotic art.

The store stocks a bevy of luxe sexual brands, with a particular emphasis on products made with a female lens and those that are sustainable. There’s everything from all-natural lubes and arousal serums to silicone toys and bondage kits. You can snag goodies like Uberlube, vegan-friendly Jonny Condoms, LELO sex toys, jade yoni eggs and much, much more. The best part? Hall of Harper is a high-service boutique, which means one-on-one education is a part of the intimate shopping experience.

You’ll come across Hall of Harper at 3222 Surfers Paradise Boulevard. Appointments for the boutique can be made by visiting the Hall of Harper website, and walk-ins are also welcome.
