Resembling a kind of functional contemporary art piece, the bluetooth gramophone marries the classic acoustics and design of a steel horn with modern technology. Mounted on a solid walnut base, the audio device has a 10-metre wireless audio range for iPhone and Android devices and between 12 to 18 hours of battery-powered playback.
If you’re more of a vinyl kind of chap, the clever craftspeople at Gramovox are currently running a Kickstarter campaign to produce a high-performance vertical turntable that has full-range stereo speakers. The estimated retail on this bad boy will be around $449 but there are still a few early bird specials available at $329 although the estimated arrival time is December 2015.
