Google unveils its voice-activated virtual assistant
In news that got tech heads buzzing, Google has unveiled a voice-controlled Wi-Fi speaker that doubles as a smarthome control centre and a virtual assistant. It’s called Google Home and it’s expected to drop later this year.
Imagine having the power to switch lights off in another room without leaving the comfort of your couch, change channel without having to find the remote or stream music in every room of the house, pretty neat, right? Well, the future is closer and even more glorious than you think. Google Home is an always-on always-listening speaker that can answer questions, effortlessly manage everyday tasks, play your music and control some of your home automation gadgets with just a few simple words.
An exact release date for Google Home is yet to be announced however if the rumours are to be believed it will be by year’s end.
