Lust after Elkii’s handmade collection of ethical threads

If you’re someone who always remembers to bring your own cup to your local cafe (or tries to anyway), refuses plastic shopping bags and generally gives a damn about Mother Nature, there’s a Gold Coast-based fashion label that is going against the grain for all the right reasons, it’s called Elkii and trust us when we say you need it in your life.

A world removed from its fast fashion counterparts, Elkii delivers a seriously swoon-worthy range of linen and cotton apparel that is ethically sourced, finely curated and made lovingly by hand. The new collection, Wanderer, is filled with intentionally minimalist easy-to-wear basics that are anything but in natural linen, black and white colourways. Designed to be trans-seasonal, each piece is produced in small batches and offers 70s-inspired wide leg jumpsuits, easy-to-wear shirt dresses and midi slip dresses with raw frayed hemlines.

In addition to thoughtful threads, Elkii offers a selection of hand-carved jewellery to finish your look. The range is designed by Los Angeles-based jewellery maker m. grace and draws from images and symbols found in ancient civilisations and nature combined with a modern rustic aesthetic. Each piece is imbued with a protective energy and is made from recycled material, so that’s something to feel pretty good about.
If conscious fashion is your (re-useable) bag, take a peek at Elkii online.
