Chalmers Pyjamas brings a little jazz to everyday sleepwear
How many times have you been lazing around home in your pyjamas on a weekend morning to realise you’ve run out of milk? Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to just duck up to the shops and keep your Pj’s on, without getting those awkward stares … cue Chalmers Pyjamas and its collection of rad sleepwear that you can totally rock beyond the bed.
Chalmers Pyjamas has officially blurred the lines between sleepwear and loungewear – and we’re loving it. Founded by Gold Coast local Nick Chalmers (do we need to explain the where the name came from?), the vibrant collection promotes relaxation and, although we’re all for the weekend, we reckon that if you woke up in a set of these threads on a Tuesday, it would totally feel like a Sunday. Nick has channelled his diverse background in the surf and fashion industry to create the unique range of pyjamas, which us Gold Coast folk can currently find in David Jones. An online store is on its way, so keep your eyes peeled here to stay in the loop.
Ladies can slip into a cotton button-up boyfriend shirt with unique abstract prints, or simply wrap a spotted sky blue robe around yourself and be on your way. The abstract prints, spots and stripes make the simple colour schemes like light blue, navy, yellow, pink and charcoal really pop – and it’s this refined vibrancy that makes us want one of everything. Whilst they look awesome, you should know that there are a lot of technical elements to the design of these pyjamas to ensure they feel just as amazing as they look. Many of the pieces are 100 per cent cotton, as well as some with a mixture of bamboo and cotton, which means you won’t ever want to take them off (don’t worry, they’re top-quality and made for that kind of everyday wear too). Do yourself a favour and jump over to the Chalmers Pyjamas Instagram page and get on the #inmychalmers bandwagon. We’re totally digging that brands like this are making it socially acceptable to wear pyjamas in public. High five, Chalmers.
