For Benjamin and Florian, the gents behind Byron Bay’s Be.you Handcrafted Skateboards, a skateboard is more than a plank of wood on wheels, it’s an instrument for freedom and a medium for adventure. Roll around town or embark on a journey along the open road, either way, your Be.you board will come along for the ride.
As the name suggests, the boards are one-of-a-kind and made with soul, much like the riders. Be.you decks are 100% handmade from the first step of designing the pattern, to pressing the plies, cutting and sanding, varnishing, engraving, to that first push on the pavement. The lads honour craftsmanship and put the utmost care into creating art that you can skate. Be.you’s first range sold out completely in less than four weeks but keep an eye out on their Facebook and Instagram as there is a new collection of designs expected any day now.
