Soak away your stress at Currumbin Valley’s dreamy new zen den – The Bathhouse at Ground

It’s hard to beat spending time in nature when you need to relax, unless it’s in a soothing spa. Well, frazzled friends, we’ve found the perfect combination – The Bathhouse at Ground has just opened in Currumbin Valley’s Ecovillage and combines a down-to-earth rainforest setting with some of the most relaxing spa experiences out.

The smell of a welcoming wood-fired sauna greets you as you step into the calm and inviting garden space. Firstly, enjoy a rainwater shower before beginning your soak session – after that, how you spend your soak session is entirely up to you. Sit back and enjoy in the steamy spa experience in one of the three steamy spas while you take in the valley vista surrounding the space, or sit in the wood-fired sauna and enjoy the heat. To alternate – or to finish, it’s entirely up to you – dip in the ambient temperature mineral plunge pool and let your mind drift as the treetops sway above you.

Apart from being a completely relaxed space, The Bathhouse is also sustainable – the dreamy pool is not only aesthetically pleasing but was recently awarded the title of Queensland’s Most Sustainable pool. If you wish to add on an infrared sauna session to your soak, go ahead – it’s available for 30-minute sessions and can accomodate up to three people. Plus, treatments are planned for the future, and will be offered from the grand Queenslander house that sits above The Bathhouse for those who could really use some extra pampering. Whether you choose to soak solo or book in for a group session and follow it with lunch from neighbouring cafe Pasture & Co (an excellent idea, if you ask us), you’ll step out of The Bathhouse feeling seriously blissed out.
