Always On The Run is a lifestyle label dedicated to the pursuit of dreams, waves and fun times. Made right here on the Gold Coast, the threads are influenced by a decade of travelling and soaking up streetwear fashion around the world.
After a freak accident shattered his leg, avid skater of 20 years Tom Dorawa was forced to shelve his board for the foreseeable future. Rather than wallow in self-pity, he began playing around on the computer and incidentally created Always On The Run, apparel for those constantly on the move. Desperate to turn his digital creations into real-world attire, Tom began volunteering at a local screen-printers in between his two paying jobs to learn the craft. He now spends his time in between skating, surfing and snowboarding, screen-printing and sewing tee shirts and snapbacks.
The current collection, Colour Frenzy, offers a kaleidoscope of pastel-hues, intricate monochromatic tall tees and snapback hats that are customised completely by hand. For now, you can find Always On The Run online or at Vivid Store at Westfield Garden City however keep an eye out at NightQuarter when it opens later this year. As Always On The Run is made to order you’ll have to be patient but for a limited edition, customised piece of wearable art, it’s well worth the wait.
