Free burger alert! Ze Pickle’s baby bro Ze Qickle is launching this weekend
We didn’t stutter. Free. Burgers. This. Sunday. So you best get excited people. But juicy buns are not all you should get excited about – the free burgers are to celebrate the launch of Ze Pickle’s latest project, Ze Qickle. We trust you’ll want to read on …
In case the photo above hasn’t already given it away, Ze Qickle is the Ze Pickle food truck we’ve been waiting oh so long for. The Ze Pickle boys Aaron, Nathan and JD have just celebrated the burger joint’s fourth birthday (woo!), and to celebrate they are rolling out one of the most badass food trucks you’ve ever seen. The 1984 Chevy was picked up from a Los Angeles police auction – the vehicle had been posing as a Fed Ex van and was seized during a drug bust. We told you it was badass. The Ze Pickle guys pulled it apart, shipped it over and put it back together (maintaining the left-hand drive), creating a killer food truck with a schmick interior kitchen set-up and – let’s be honest – a pretty ghetto exterior. But don’t be put off by the rust guys, that’s a vinyl wrap!
The food truck is just the beginning of the Ze Qickle empire – the boys have big plans to roll out the concept into a number of hole-in-the-wall burger joints. The truck and mini eateries will have a rotating selection of just four burgers, designed to be fast paced and easy to grab and go. The Ze Qickle food truck will pop up at a number of locations and events, with the first being the launch this Sunday. YES, this is the part we tell you about the free burgers. You made it, congratulations. Head down to Burleigh Hill this Sunday November 6, where Ze Qickle will be serving up hundreds of free Chee-ze burgers and house-made Bubblegum Legendade, plus Hallenstein Brothers vouchers, from 3:00 pm. Run, don’t walk – you don’t want to miss out!
Update: if you can’t wait until Sunday, the Ze Qickle lads have announced they’ll be parking the new truck up at The Social Markets at the Mermaid Beach Bowls Club this Saturday November 5 from 4:00 pm. Burgers and beers at the bowlo – we’re in!
