Youngcake is not your average Christmas cake. For one, it has a hint of curry powder, an ingredient not often found in cake, but it also has special powers, specifically, the power to change young lives. The festive cake is raising much needed funds for Youngcare, an organisation committed to helping to get young people with high needs out of aged care.

The recipe is based on an old family recipe from Bronwyn Tarlton, a resident of Youngcare, tested by celebrity chef Ben O’Donoghue and lovingly made by Brisbane’s Vanilla Pod.
