Fro-yo information – Yo-Chi has opened in the heart of Surfers Paradise
Calling all frozen-dessert enthusiasts! A new fro-yo slinger has arrived in town, and we can’t wait to get our hands on the flavour-packed chilled confectionery. Opening its doors on Monday August 14, Yo-Chi Surfers Paradise is the second Gold Coast location for the franchise and the new dessert destination for locals and holiday-makers alike.
It’s not unusual to see long lines forming at the entry of Yo-Chi’s Broadbeach location, so it was only a matter of time before a second Yo-Chi opened its doors on the Gold Coast. That time is now, and its prime location is none other than Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre in Surfers Paradise. Fro-yo lovers will be pleased to learn that the sweet-treat locale is brimming with the same delicious frozen yogurt and toppings as its Broadbeach location. It works the same too – you choose between a cup or cone, and then you can pour as much or as little as you like from Yo-Chi’s range of natural-tasting 98-percent fat-free probiotic yoghurts, which are made fresh daily and are available in a mouth-watering array of flavours. Favourites like signature tart, butterscotch, strawberry, vanilla and chocolate are on rotation alongside a delicious roster of seasonal flavours that are updated on the regular.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Yo-Chi experience without the famous buffet-style topping bar, where some of us (including this writer) always seem to lose all self-control at. You can top your frozen yoghurt off with all of the favourites, from melted Biscoff, Oreos and vegan cookie dough to fruit, coconut and mochi balls. Lastly, finish your fro-yo off with a squeeze of chocolate sauce, which comes in white, milk or dark. Remember, it’s pay-by-weight. But also, you only live once.
