All-new Wild puts a refined and healthy spin on fish and chips

If you thought fish and chips were reserved for ‘cheat days’, then you’re probably right. There’s a lot of oily, grease-dripped and hangover-curing varieties out there – but there’s a new kid on the block called Wild that’s changing the perception by putting a more refined and health-conscious spin on fish and chips as we know it.

Wild Fish & Chips is the newest foodie addition to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, and it’s already creating hype with its selection of fresh, local seafood woven throughout a really simple, yet refined menu. Instead of the traditionally heavy and oily battered fish, you’ll find the freshest, local fish done well in a light, crisp batter or simply grilled. If chips are your thing, you won’t be disappointed, but if you’re wanted to keep it light, you can ditch the chips and have your fish served with brown rice or a fresh salad.

The two things we love – burgers and tacos – both feature on the Wild menu. There’s crispy fried prawn tacos with slaw and chipotle mayo, or if you’re feeling like a burger will hit the spot, then you can opt for the battered fish brioche burger served simply with cheese, lettuce, tomato and caramelised onions. The on-trend poke bowls are a vibrant and colourful addition, with fresh prawn, salmon, tuna and tofu poke-bowl combinations. Fish of any kind is always best served with a top-notch drop, so you’ll be happy to know there is a tight selection of wines, champagnes and craft beers behind the bar.
