Coffee and creativity at WAREHOUSE No.5 in Burleigh Heads

Nestled amongst sign-writers, studios and miscellaneous makers of things, WAREHOUSE No.5 is a new collaborative workspace/cafe where creativity thrives. The venue is centred around culture, connection and excellent coffee.

Monique Pons, by her own admission, was not born creative although one look around WAREHOUSE No.5 and you might beg to differ. The uber trendy New York loft-inspired space is a joint project between Monique and her partner Andy Clark and is envisioned as a place for people, creative or otherwise, to connect and collaborate over a coffee and a croissant. The idea for the free communal workspace was ignited by Monique’s fruitless search to find a creative space that wasn’t prohibitively expensive or locked you in to a long-term contract.

The colossal 225 square metre former body board-manufacturing warehouse offers a range of different seating areas to suit a myriad of purposes, from business meetings to casual catch-ups over a game of Jenga. There’s also free Wi-Fi and printing facilities available so you can comfortably set up your temporary office for the day. To keep you alert and nourished, WAREHOUSE No.5 brews Blackboard Coffee and Mayde Tea and offers a selection of freshly baked goods including Nutella doughnuts and lightly toasted bagels smothered with cream cheese. The space is completely transformable and is available for private events however Monique and Andy have big plans for a wide range of public workshops, from beer, wine and whisky appreciation evenings to modern day philosophy seminars and everything in between. WAREHOUSE No.5 is open from early morning until 6:00 pm so is perfect for those late afternoon caffeine cravings. There’s also a ping-pong table and a games corner if you’re in need of a little distraction.
