Two Little Bakers celebrates its first birthday

The frame on the wall declares ‘do what you love everyday’ and one look around Two Little Bakers, it’s clear that Kris and Ashley, the mother and daughter duo behind the cafe, are doing just that. Adorned with delicate blue bunting, lace and hessian table runners and fresh flowers, the pretty setting provides the perfect backdrop to while time away with great company, coffee and sweet treats.

Two Little Bakers is a labour of love for Kris and Ashley. In 12-short months, the cafe has become the venue of choice for Mudgeeraba locals for breakfast, brunch and lunch, sometimes all three in one day. Famous for their delectable and constantly evolving selection of sweets, a trip here is not complete without indulging in a piece of chocolate and salted caramel cheesecake, snickers slice or one of the decadently-dense brownies.

It isn’t just the sweets that have the locals coming back for more, the breakfast menu has also proven a hit, with delights including the Rosti Breakfast Stack that is made with sweet-potato rosti, avocado, halloumi, poached free-range egg and rocket. From midday, the lunch menu takes over and offers a fresh new array of choices including the Open Veggie Burger that is made with spiced chickpea, pumpkin and zucchini on toasted Turkish or the Lamb Pita that is filled with seasoned lamb patties, spinach, tomato and homemade tzaziki. If you’re in a hurry, be tempted by something from the cabinet including gluten-free frittata or the roast pumpkin melt that is topped with pine nuts and feta. Every sweet or savoury morsel is made fresh onsite as testament to the ladies’ commitment to quality and fresh produce. See our Stumble Guide for opening times.
