Three Blue Ducks announces a new Byron Bay venue
Fresh off the back of opening an impressive 156-seat restaurant within W Brisbane, the fellas behind southern hospitality icon Three Blue Ducks have announced they are opening a second Byron Bay venue – a bar. For those that didn’t hear us – Three.Blue.Ducks.is.opening.a.bar. Here’s what you need to know.
The yet-to-be-named bar will take over the space of popular nightclub La La Land on Lawson Street, marking the fifth venue for Three Blue Ducks co-owners Darren Robertson, Mark LaBrooy, Jeff Bennett, Sam Reid and Chris Sorrel. The bar will keep in with Three Blue Ducks’ renowned ethos for sustainability and ethically produced fare, serving craft beer and a series of cocktails alongside a concise food menu.
To start, the bar will focus on evening trade, with daytime food offerings to commence in 2019. Boasting capacity for around 350 people, the watering hole will also be available for functions and events, with live music and DJs on rotation. The venue is currently coming together under the creative eye of designers Pattern Studios and architect Dominic Finlay-Jones, and is expected to open in September. We’ll have all of the details when the doors are open. In the mean time, have you checked out the swish new venue in Brisbane? Take a closer look here.
