Robina Town Centre unveils new $160-million foodie precinct

The Gold Coast’s culinary scene is set to explode by year’s end with 55 new cafes, bars and restaurants set to open as part of Robina Town Centre’s $160-million foodie precinct, The Kitchens.

Robina Town Centre has unveiled the first glimpses of its brand new multi-sensory, culinary concept, The Kitchens. The gastronomic playground will be the first of its kind in Australia and bring together artisans, chefs, providores, purveyors and food lovers to celebrate fresh, local produce and inspire passion and creativity.

Globally inspired but locally focused, the epicurean epicenter will become a world-class food destination and offer a vast array of cuisines, from South American and Greek street food to New-York style bagels, Italian wood-fired pizzas, traditional Asian dishes, Australian ales and locally caught seafood. Among the 55 new retailers are some of Australia’s food luminaries who will stand side-by-side with local providores and bring their brands, many of which are new to market, and signature dishes to The Kitchens. So far, George Calombaris’ Jimmy Grants has been confirmed as well as Fish Lab by William Wu and Honey Eater Kitchen by chef Trent Scarr. The bustling marketplace will also showcase live, local music, film, theatre and art through an ongoing events program that will also include tastings, workshops and masterclasses. The Kitchens at Robina Town Centre is set to open late 2016 so watch this space.
