Stone & Wood collaborates with local bees and a wild chef for its new pilot batch
What do you get when you combine an award-winning craft brewery, local bees (yes, actual buzzing bees), a renowned chef and talented artist? A delicious honey cream ale in a cool-looking bottle, that’s what! The beer we’re harping on about is the new pilot batch from Stone & Wood, aptly named Wilderness. Here’s what you need to know.
Much-loved Byron Bay brewery Stone & Wood has been experimenting and the results are pretty damn impressive. The Wilderness honey cream ale marks the brewery’s latest pilot batch, which came to life in collaboration with renowned honey man and inventor of the Flow beekeeping units, Cedar Anderson, as well as wild chef Sarah Glover and renowned artist Jonas Claesson.
These three identities each share a passion for nature and have come together with Stone & Wood to create this impressive new brew, which features native notes of floral honey, smoked wattle seeds, ginger and strawberry gum. The flavours all come together to develop a refreshing cream ale with light malt flavour that finishes dry and crisp. Sounds tasty, right? Head online to check out where you can get your hands on the Wilderness cream ale – it’s available both on tap and in-store at various locations.
