Celebrate Taco Tuesday at Stingray Lounge bar

While $3.00 may have seemed like quite a lot of money as a kid, these days, it doesn’t go very far. Sure, you could get a can of tuna and maybe a roll to put it on, or something that kind of resembles food from your local fast-food chain but if that doesn’t sound particularly appetising, head along to Stingray Lounge bar at QT Gold Coast for Taco Tuesdays.

Every Tuesday evening from 5:00–10:00 pm, the taco station rolls out at Stingray Lounge bar and serves up a delicious selection of fresh tacos for just $3.00 each. Tuck into a flame grilled chicken taco that is topped with guanjo chilli, charred corn, fresco and spiced pepitas or feast on the king prawns that have been marinated in tequila with mango, chipotle, corn and queso salsa. Step it up a notch and enjoy slow-cooked Cuban style pork belly with picked radish, onion, orange crèma and moja verde or perhaps the grilled fish with achiote paste, red onion salsa, lime and chipotle mayonnaise is more to taste. For $3.00, you can get one of each! There is also a weekly secret taco to keep things exciting. Complete the Mexican experience with a $5.00 Dos Equis XX beer or indulge in one of Stingray’s famous Margaritas that are available in a range of flavours including original, juicy watermelon, apple and mint and tropical pine. Stingray also offers a tempting selection of Tequilas to wet your whistle but just remember, it’s still Tuesday so maybe go easy on the shots.

The tacos are made fresh to order and are available on either a wheat or corn tortilla. The filling is all prepared in-house from seasonal produce and the proteins are marinated for 24-hours and then slow-cooked for 12-hours, with the exception of the chicken which is flame-grilled then pulled. There is also a mighty tempting array of Mexican snacks and sides on offer including guacamole with pico de gallo, lime and fried tortilla chips, hot wings with ancho chilli powder, celery, yoghurt and blue cheese dressing and trusty nachos with house made tortilla chips, guacamole, crema and pico de gallo.
