The Star Grazing Food Tours are back (by popular demand) to take you on an intimate culinary journey

The Star Grazing Food Tours, the sell-out foodie events where diners are taken on an exclusive guided journey of four contrasting restaurants at The Star Gold Coast in one delicious night, are back this autumn! A limited series of just five tours will be held throughout May – bookings are a must and you’d best be quick, because seats on these guided foodie tours do not last long.

If you’re an explorative foodie that is hunting for a night out with a difference, then this is the ultimate culinary experience. The Star Grazing Food Tours will be held on select Thursday nights throughout May (May9, 16, 23 and 30) and will take you on a multi-course journey across four of The Star’s dining venues. The tour groups are kept small and you’ll have your own tour guide on hand to step you through the delicious and immersive evening – whether you’ve visited the venues before or not, these events are the best way to experience diverse and innovative tastes while also having the opportunity to engage with the chefs, who will take you through their dishes and divulge a few secrets while they’re at it.

This year, the food tours are being held in conjunction with The Star’s Seafood Freshtival – so seafood is well and truly put in the spotlight across each venue you visit. The night will start at Garden Kitchen & Bar, where you’ll enjoy a dish of house-smoked salmon, baby cos leaves, miso mayonnaise, pickled eschallots and bread crisps. The second course will take you to Chinese dining spot Imperial at The Star for a delectable dish of steamed scallops in chef Song’s special XO sauce and fried plate oysters. The third stop will be at Italian restaurant Cucina Vivo where you’ll experience its maltagliati pasta with Moreton Bay bug tail, Avruga caviar and heritage tomato. Finally, you’ll head up to Japanese fine-dining space Kiyomi for its famed Goma Street dessert of tempered dark chocolate, caramelised white-chocolate mousse and black-sesame ice-cream. Each of the four courses will be expertly paired with beverages, with a post-dinner cocktail also included.
