Ditch dinner and go straight to the sweets at Sparrow Eating House’s spring dessert degustation

If you’re on a summer shred, we’re really (really) sorry – but this is too good to not harp on about. Nobby Beach share-food gem Sparrow Eating House is throwing a spring dessert degustation on Thursday October 26 and you need to be there. It’s time to treat yo’self to the ultimate cheat day.

If you’re familiar with the Sparrow Eating House menu, then you’ll most probably remember sweet finishers like the Oreo creme brulee and the banoffee jaffle. Yep, the Sparrow crew not only nail the art of share food, they also take desserts to a whole new level. Sparrow even made it into the top ten in The Gold Coast’s Best Desserts category at the 2017 EAT/drink Awards thanks to your votes, so we know for a fact that plenty of you have experienced the heavenly sweetness from this cosy little hang.

Sparrow is know for its seasonal menu, and now that spring has sprung the desserts are taking a new direction. So, what better way to experience the tastes of the season than with a four-course spring dessert degustation. For $45 dollar per head, you’ll start with a French rose jelly and ginger trifle, before moving onto the spiced-rum and pineapple fritters with butterscotch dipping sauce. The third course will have some zing – a grapefruit-curd tart with spiced cream and blueberries. Then, there’s the finale – Sparrow’s own take on a Bounty bar. Yep, what a sweet, sweet dream this is.

Sparrow’s spring dessert degustation is being held on Thursday October 26, with two sitting times available. Head over here (now) to nab your tickets.
