The new coffee machine from British company Smarter is undoubtedly one of those times. The world’s first bean to cup, wifi-enabled coffee machine allows you to brew a coffee right from your phone. The ingenious machine grinds the beans upon order to ensure a consistently fresh cup of joe and remembers your favourite settings so you don’t have to.

Controlled from free iOS and Android apps, the Smarter coffee machine will not only wake you when your morning cup is ready, but it will let you know when it needs refilling, or even ask you if you want it to make you a cup when you enter the house using its ‘welcome home’ mode. Amazingly, if your fitness tracker notices a bad nights sleep, Smarter will recommend a stronger coffee when you wake up. Your Smarter coffee machine will then automatically adjust the strength. Before you go reaching for the credit card, the Smarter coffee machine isn’t available in Australia yet but you can pre-order one online to ensure you’re among the first in the country to receive one when it is available.
