Seascape Restaurant + Bar opens in Surfers Paradise
If your idea of a weekend well spent involves some beautifully fresh seafood cooked to perfection, a beverage or two and a magnificent view, Soul’s new multi-level venue Seascape Restaurant + Bar has you covered.
Spanning three incredible levels, Seascape Restaurant + Bar offers a level for all occasions. Take the footbridge across from Hurricane’s Grill & Bar and you’ll emerge in the Bistro + Bar. If you’re in the mood for a casual bite and a chilled beverage overlooking a glorious expanse of ocean, you’re in the right place. Specialising in amazingly fresh seafood, it’s hard to go past the shellfish cold platter that contains oysters, prawns, Moreton Bay bugs and Harvey Bay scallops and the soft shell crab tempura with a glass of crisp white wine. If seafood isn’t for you, perhaps the braised pork belly or Cape Grim sirloin steak is more to taste. If weather permits, take a seat in the outdoor dining area and breathe in the fresh sea air as you dine.
Journey up the timber-clad staircase to the restaurant on level two. Upping the ante to deliver smart casual dining, the restaurant is furnished with beautiful Spotted Gum tables and provides the perfect backdrop to while away an afternoon with fine food and exceptional company. The restaurant sources a minimum of six different types of fresh fish daily, each one prepared specifically to showcase the unique tastes and textures of that particular species. Start with an entree of maple-cured black kingfish with wasabi sorbet, wakame and sesame praline or cured duck breast before moving on to one of the daily catches or a selection from the mains. If you become plagued with indecision, opt for the five-course banquet and enjoy the chef’s seafood selection. There are plans for a rooftop dining area on the top level but that’s a little while off yet. The sophisticated new venue is the work of renowned restaurateur Fouad Eid and is all about leaving a lasting impression on diners. Everything, from the first greeting, the food and decor to the moment you part ways, has been considered to create the best possible memory.
