Enjoy fare from Brisbane’s top eateries at home with restaurant delivery service Providoor

When Australia’s hospitality industry pirouetted towards pandemic-proof operation models, it changed the game in terms of accessibility. In Melbourne, acclaimed chef Shane Delia of Maha founded Providoor – a delivery service that allowed locals to enjoy lauded fare from Maha, Entrecote, Tipo 00 and Supernormal in the comfort of their own home. Providoor expanded to Sydney soon after, cultivating a roster that includes Chiswick, China Doll, Golden Century and The Apollo. This week the service will officially launch in Queensland – it already boasts a cadre of appetising all-stars including Southside, NOTA and Siffredi’s. Bust out the tablecloths and the fancy cutlery – Providoor is making fine dining a homebound affair.

Providoor has taken Melbourne and Sydney by storm, giving locals access to some of the best food in the country while also offering a helping hand to the hospitality sector brought low by two years of lockdowns. Not only does it give restaurants another avenue to draw revenue, it also alleviates headaches for diners that want to circumvent the hassles of going out without sacrificing their desire for a gourmet experience. Online pre-orders will become available on Thursday February 17 and a swag of Brisbane’s top restaurants will begin delivering at-home meals to diners across Brisbane metro, Gold Coast, Noosa, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba (as well as over the border as far as Tweed Heads and Byron Bay) on Thursday February 24. Providoor is launching with a host of partner restaurants on deck, including Siffredi’s Spaghetti BarEvitaLa CostaNOTALa ValleNaïmSouthsideBrisbane Phoenix and City Winery, with a second wave of eateries expected to join in the coming weeks.

The operational model behind Providoor is simple. Users can browse the menus of partner venues (searches can be sorted by restaurant, cuisine or occasion) then order their desired meal by 4:00 pm for next-day delivery. The restaurant-prepared repasts are then chilled and delivered via cold freight, with easy-to-follow instructions attached for heating and plating at home. Celebrations, group dinners or simple spoil-yourself indulgences can be taken to the next level with a little bit of scroll and click. Head to Providoor’s website and bookmark it, as we have an inkling you’ll be checking it out come Thursday February 17.
