Surfers Paradise welcomes Pigs and Pints
Popular Burleigh Heads eatery, Pigs and Pints, has added a new venue to the family following the opening of a second space underneath the Q1 in Surfers Paradise.
Emulating the eats on offer at its southern sister venue, the new digs invites you to enjoy a selection of pigs (sliders) and small plates or go the whole hog with a satisfying grazing board. The beverages, however, present some tantalising new choices including the Poppin Corn that tastes like caramel-coated popcorn in a cup and the Pig N Cider that contains house-made bacon-washed vodka, ginger liqueur, lemon, chamomile tea syrup and finished with a dash of apple cider. The eccentric new liquid concoctions are the work of Oliver Bradley who personally infuses the tipple with delicious ingredients (bacon) and dehydrates the fruit to give the cocktails a tasty and unexpected twist.
A sign advising that ‘beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy’ hovers over the bar that is plentifully stocked with craft beers and wines from around Australia and New Zealand. Commandeer a stool for a quick bite, settle in to one of the clusters of cosy couches and pick at some delightfully crispy potato skins and sliders or for take a seat in the dining room that is framed by stained glass panels and feature brick walls and work your way through one of the venue’s signature grazing plates.
