Sink your teeth into mac’n’cheese burgers at the all-new Pattysmiths Palm Beach

After delighting local burger lovers with the opening of its first Gold Coast location at Merrimac in November this year, renowned Melbourne-born burger chain Pattysmiths is now bringing its mouth-watering goodness to the southern end of the coast, swinging open the doors to its brand-new Palm Beach venue this week.

Located within The Pavilions Shopping Centre on Fifth Avenue (just up from Pepé Italia Deli), the new Palm Beach incarnation of Pattysmiths marks the chain’s sixth Australian location, forming part of a considered national rollout of its burger bars, which are dubbed a ‘gourmet alternative’ to traditional fast-food burgers. For those yet to get acquainted with the deliciousness of Pattysmiths, it is (as the name suggests) all about the patty. Just like metalsmiths are master craftsmen of metal, Pattysmiths believes it has perfected the art of hand-crafted burger patties – the chefs (known as Patty Smashers) use a signature blend of wagyu and Angus beef that is ‘hand-smashed’ on a custom-built iron plate to create a distinctive golden crust, which forms the core component of its eye-popping burgers.

Traditionalists can go for the classic cheeseburger (beef patty, American cheddar, house pickles, ketchup, mustard and blanched onions) or The Original which adds Pattysmiths’ special sauce, lettuce and tomato to the mix. Got an appetite? Have a red-hot go at the Spicy Double Beef Burger (double patties and cheese, maple bacon, spicy Pattysmiths sauce, jalapenos and onions) or get your mouth around the Mac & Cheese Royale – a beef patty with mac’n’cheese katsu, American cheddar, special sauce, ketchup, mustard, lettuce and tomato. There’s also a Southern-style fried-chicken burger, and for the meat-free folk – a panko-crumbed mushroom burger. As for the sides, think loaded onion rings topped with cheese, bacon and spring onion, as well as both beer-battered chips and traditional French fries. Got yourself a sweet tooth? There’s waffles, sundaes and thick shakes galore.

Pattysmiths Palm Beach is now open! Head to our Stumble Guide for opening hours, address and contact details.
