Beautiful burgers, fried chicken and wings – Pattysmiths fires up the grills in Biggera Waters

Labrador locals, listen up! We have some very tasty news for you – Melbourne’s legendary burger slingers Pattysmiths has opened on Treasure Island Drive in Biggera Waters bringing the Gold Coast restaurant count to five and the national tally to 14. Here’s everything you need to know …

If you take your burgers pretty seriously, you’re probably already well across Pattysmiths and its particular brand of edible enjoyment but for the sake of those who are a little late to the patty party, let’s recap real quick – Pattysmiths is a Melbourne-born burger franchise that is dedicated to compiling the perfect burger, starting with the all-important patty. In the same way metalsmiths are considered masters of metal, Pattysmiths are masters of making hand-crafted burger patties. Each of the freshly ground wagyu beef bases is lovingly hand-smashed on a custom-built cast iron hot plate, ensuring the slabs are cooked to perfection and served with that trademark golden crust – it’s a thing of beauty to admire before being promptly devoured.

As you may have deducted, the beef burgers are the real MVP of Pattysmiths’ offering with classic options to suit traditionalists (the classic cheeseburger with a beef patty, American cheddar, house pickles, ketchup, mustard, and blanched onions is an excellent place to start) as well as those who like to push the boundaries of what a burger can be (for you, we suggest the almighty Fried Chicken Burger Double, which contains not one but two devilishly crispy fried-chicken fillets layered with American cheddar, fresh slaw, and drizzled with chipotle aioli and smoky barbecue sauce). Meat-free mates will also love the panko-crumbed mushroom burger.

In addition to Pattysmiths, the Labrador eatery will also feature a tasty side-hustle called Alabama Chicken & Wings, which began as a virtual brand operating out of Pattysmiths and Noodle Box restaurants nationally. Diners can enjoy a taste of America’s deep south with deliciously crispy chicken wings and drumettes smothered in your choice of the venue’s signature seasoning and sauces. If you’ve got any room left at all, there are some seriously saucy thick shakes and a sundae loaded with crushed peanuts and fudge on offer. Yum.
