Paradox Coffee Roasters branches into dinner

Known for amazing brews of the caffeine kind and delectable daytime eats, Paradox Coffee Roasters at The 4217 is branching into dinners on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

If your idea of an evening well spent is one that involves picking your way around an assortment of delicious food and maybe a beverage or two, take a seat at Paradox Coffee Roasters. The new dinner menu is the work of head chef Dennis Duncanson, who spent 10-years working at Jamie Oliver’s restaurant in the United Kingdom so it’s fair to say a little of Jamie’s food philosophy has rubbed off on Dennis. The rustic dinner menu is designed for tearing and sharing, so leave ‘proper’ dining etiquette at the door and rip into some flatbread, grab a handful of crispy prawn popcorn before battling it out for the last soft shell crab slider that is loaded with mayonnaise, lettuce and gherkin.

The menu has been crafted to showcase truly beautiful produce that has been sourced in a stone’s throw radius. The meatballs, for example, are made with free range Byron Bay pork, rich tomato sauce that is made in-house and chargrilled bread from the nearby BKRY. Alongside small plates, there are larger portions if you’re feeling particularly famished. There’s also a pretty neat selection of beers, wines and cocktails to wet your whistle.
