Ooh mami — Pepe Saya and Oomite combine to create the ultimate umami butter hybrid

Say hello to Oomite x Pepe Saya Butter, the beautiful lovechild of two Australian artisan makers – a creamy wheel of unsalted Pepe Saya cultured butter, carefully blended with the all-natural salty goodness of Oomite spread. The limited-edition release is your delicious chance to try Oomite at home, but be warned – it’s addictive!

The mite-to-butter ratio is a classic argument in Australian households, and is one that has now been settled with the release of this limited-edition spread. Pepe Saya – the creator of decadent, grass-fed, cultured butter – has teamed up with Oomite to create a delicious creation perfect for slathering straight onto your toast, with the perfect ratio already sorted for you! Say hello to a wheel of creamy flavour, perfectly blended with umami flavour thanks to the addition of Oomite.

For the first time Oomite is available to try at home, as until now it had only been available for chefs and bakers to use at their cafes and restaurants. If you’re not a toast-lover, try the spread as an unexpected addition to your steak or stirred through a pasta. The limited-edition collaboration will be available at Three Blue Ducks at The Farm and at Harvest Newrybar this week, and is also available from Pepe Saya online, market stalls and selected stockists, as well as served on Merna’s crumpets at Carriageworks.
