A thoughtfully prepared degustation is a treat for not just your tastebuds, but for all of your other senses too. The anticipation, the sheer sensory delight when each course is presented, the pure joy of not having to glance at a menu – it’s an experience that will linger in your memory long after the food has been devoured. This March and April, The Star Gold Coast is upping the ante with an incredible and extremely intimate 18-course Omakase feast at the Broadbeach resort’s signature Japanese restaurant, Kiyomi. Yes, you read right – 18 glorious courses. Are you ready for this?

In Japanese, Omakase translates to ‘leave it up to you’, which is precisely what you’ll be allowing when you take a seat at Kiyomi’s signature Omakase feast. The exclusive culinary event will be presented over ten incredible nights and will be capped at just seven patrons per event to ensure a truly intimate and memorable dining experience. Lucky ticket holders will enjoy a front-row seat to witness the amazingly talented Chase Kojima and his team creating culinary magic before their very eyes. The exact menu will be decided on the day of the event, but you can be guaranteed the celebrated venue will be pulling out all stops to impress. The Omakase event is a showcase of extraordinary skill, technique and sensational Australian produce.

A seat at the Kiyomi’s esteemed event is $195 per person and if you’re really looking to round out your experience, upgrade your package to include five paired beverages for $60 extra per person. Bookings are essential and if past years are anything to go by, these dates will sell out – fast. The Omakase Series will be held from March 23–27, April 27–30 and one last opportunity on May 1.
