Notorious E.A.T launches its hip-hop food truck on the Gold Coast

Listen up, ‘yo. There’s a new food truck in town by the name of Notorious E.A.T and its dropping tasty eats at a foodie market near you. Inspired by the late rap sensation Notorious B.I.G (aka Biggie Smalls), the newest addition to the food truck scene is serving up a bad-ass street food menu filled with hearty American eats.

If you’re a serial stalker of food trucks, you’ll want Notorious E.A.T on your hit-list. Big Poppa fries, Piggie Smallz sliders and Mac Daddy burgers – no, that’s not your favourite 90s mix-tape, it’s just some of the delicious American delights with a cool hip-hop spin that owner and chef Jemma Wickham is pumping out from a different location each week. The Straight Outta Chooklyn slider, with a golden chicken ‘schnitty’ with apple slaw and Biggie’s special sauce is a seriously tasty vibe. Each of the sliders, including the pulled pork with housemade barbecue sauce (the Piggie Smallz) and the Mac Daddy with beef, mac and cheese and juicy pickles, come served on housemade waffles. That’s right, we’re talking waffle burgers, folks.

The Kim Jong Illest wings are fried until crispy and topped with Korean barbecue sauce, or you can get dirty with the Big Poppa Dirty Fries topped with bacon, cheese and both the house barbecue and special sauces. The Nach Yo Posse (seriously, these names are killer) sees cheesy corn chips topped with pulled-pork, cheese, tomatoes and a hefty dollop of sour cream. The little rappers are looked after with the Junior Mafia – two mini corn dogs with kids chips and, if you’re really living life on the edge, you can keep ‘yo cool with a Zooper Dooper ice-block. Keep atop Notorious E.A.T’s movements and plan your next gangsta feast via Instagram … you’ll also find some saucy food porn on there too, so be careful.
