Amongst the glorious chaos of the silly season it’s easy to forget about planning the biggest party of the year, New Year’s Eve! Whether you’re keen to bid the year adieu with fine food and fancy cocktails, keep things casual or go out with a bang, we’ve rounded up a bunch of New Year’s Eve celebrations happening around the Gold Coast. The Star Gold Coast
On December 31 the festivities kick off at The Star’s Grand Pool Lawn for one of the most sizzling soirees of the year. Tickets to this 18+ event are $225 per person and give you a chance to walk the red carpet and spend the night dancing under neon lights by the pool as internationally renowned rhythm and soul icon Lisa Hunt headlines the entertainment. Soak up an evening of style and sophistication as Nineteen offers two first-class dinner sessions. The 2.5-hour sunset seating is $200 per person and gives attendees a four-course set menu including a seafood platter, a choice of mains like Patagonian toothfish or fillet steak and delicious desserts.
