Okay, we’ll come right out and say it – we love cheese. In fact, we spend a disproportionate amount of our days thinking about, talking about and eating cheese. Whether it’s a bitey blue, a creamy camembert or a gooey goat’s cheese – it’s all gouda (sorry, couldn’t resist). If you too possess a deep love for cheesy goodness, we’re willing to go out on a limb and suggest you might also appreciate the Mould Cheese Collective – a monthly delivery of happiness to your door.

When COVID-19 hit, MOULD was forced to make the heartbreaking decision to cancel its upcoming cheese festivals in both Sydney and Melbourne, which was a sad day for turophiles everywhere. The silver lining to all of this is that instead of lying down and copping it, the cheese-loving folk decided to pivot their focus and bring the cheese to the people rather than the other way around and promptly created Mould Cheese Collective. The collective’s aim is to spread a little joy by way of a monthly cheese delivery featuring hard-to-find blocks from some of Australia’s finest artisanal cheese producers. The delivery not only gives you something to look forward to every month but it also throws a little helping hand to independent makers around the country who need our support to continue to operate through these tough times.

Cheese lovers can choose from either a three-cheese box or go all out with four for $85 and the July box features a semi-hard wedge known affectionately as Pearl from The Pines in Kiama, a washed rind from fifth-generation dairy farmers in Nimbin as well as a blooming delicious creation from Pecora in Robertson. For those who splashed for the fourth, you will be glad you did because it’s a semi-soft Monte Rosso from Section 28 in Adelaide Hills. Pre-order for the July box ends on Sunday July 19 and orders will be shipped on Monday July 20. The cheese is packaged in a recycled wool lining and a biodegradable icepack that will keep the merchandise cool for up to four days as it makes its merry way to you. If you really love cheese, jump over here and order a box.
