Eat your way through the Gold Coast (on foot) with new progressive dining experience Meets & Eats

Socially adventurous foodies, this one is for you. Meet & Eats, the Gold Coast’s newest progressive dining experience, is officially kicking off on Friday September 29. If you’re in the market for new mates (let’s be honest – it can be pretty hard to meet new people) then this is the perfect opportunity to expand your circle of friends by connecting over one common interest – food.

Meets & Eats is a three-course dining event that is experienced on foot within a single suburb. That’s right – one night, three courses, three different venues. On Friday September 29 the first progressive dining event will be held in Nobby Beach, followed by Palm Beach on Thursday October 5. So, here’s the deal. You book as either a group of four (two guys and two girls) or a group of two (one guy, one girl). You’ll stay with your own group for the duration, but at each of the three venues, your group will be joined by a different group of four (aka strangers). So, each course you eat will be experienced with a bunch of cool new people … but you’ll also have the comfort of your own friends too.

To keep an element of surprise, the venues that you’ll be visiting are kept under wrap. The morning of the event, you’ll get a text message revealing the first venue to meet at that night. Then, when your time is almost up at each venue, you’ll get another text message telling you where to go next. After you’ve visited all three restaurants, you’ll then all meet up at a bar for a night cap (or two) with all of the groups together. Cool, eh? Oh, and $5 from every ticket sold goes directly to OZHarvest! Keen to jump on the Meet & Eats bandwagon? Head over here for more info and to book.
