Mamasan Kitchen + Bar opens in Broadbeach

Mamasan Kitchen + Bar has opened its doors at The Oracle precinct in Broadbeach offering guests a traditional yet modern dining experience that is peppered with south east Asian influence.

Mamasan Kitchen + Bar is the latest venture from JP Duitsch, the owner of Moo Moo The Wine Bar & Grill, and his fiance Lauren Mitchell, so you know you’re in for something pretty special. The menu, crafted by head chef Ray Choi, previously from Sydney’s renowned China Doll and China Lane establishments, offers a mix of traditional and modern cuisine from south east Asia and includes small bites through to banquet-style dining. Nibble on kingfish sashimi or half shell scallops before moving on to some of the share plates of peking duck pancake, sweet and spicy glazed lamb ribs and king crab ravioli dumplings. For something more substantial, make a selection from the larger plate menu which includes a mouth-watering crispy chicken dish that is topped with pickled ginger and Indonesian satay sauce. Finish your feast with a Mamasan chocolate brownie that is served with toasted sesame ice-cream and a salted caramel fortune cookie.

It’s not just the restaurant that will tantalise tastebuds, Mamasan’s adjoining bar serves up a beautiful array of zesty, Asian-inspired cocktails including the Yin & Yang Espresso featuring Suntory Kakubin whisky, kahlua, white cacao liqueur and fresh espresso coffee and the Zen Garden, which is intended for two and includes lemongrass-infused Belvedere vodka, lemongrass and ginger Soju, elderflower, lemon, apple, green tea and fresh mint. Alongside an extensive cocktail list, Mamasan offers international wines, beer, spirits and, of course, plenty of sake. For contact information and opening hours, head to our Stumble Guide.
