Miami gets set to welcome Love Child Market Place – a new plant-based food and retail precinct
The plant-based movement on the Gold Coast is set to gather even more momentum with the announcement that a new two-storey food and retail precinct dedicated entirely to plant-based and cruelty-free businesses is now underway in Miami. Dubbed the Love Child Market Place (LCMP), the innovative new 1000-sqm space will see five new vegan and plant-based eateries open by April, with more retailers to be added to the mix later this year. This is one heck of a line-up … here’s what’s in store.
Miami’s newest foodie hub will see Sydney’s wildly popular plant-based Italian eatery Gigi Pizzeria make its first foray to the Gold Coast, and will also mark the first bricks-and-mortar venue for popular local vegan ramen operator i like ramen. The geniuses behind Greenhouse Canteen + Bar in Miami and Coolangatta are also in the mix with their latest venture Flora by Greenhouse, which will serve coffee, breakfast and daytime eats from the new precinct, which is situated just south of Mrs Flannery’s on the Gold Coast Highway (opposite Miami High).
Helensvale’s renowned all-vegan bakery Flour of Life will be opening its second Gold Coast bakery at LCMP and will be pumping out the dough-based goods and glorious sweet treats seven days a week. A new plant-based fast-food restaurant called BVK (Burgers Vs Kebabs) will be opening its flagship venue at LCMP, serving everything from plant-based burgers, crispy fries and vegan doner kebabs. Yep, that is a whole lot of plant-based goodness under one roof. LCMP will operate seven days per week – daytimes will be the initial focus, with plans down the track to expand into night trade. The first stage of LCMP is due to open prior the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games – we’ll have all the juicy details for you then!
