Gather your fellowship – Lord of the Wings has officially opened!
Ready the wet wipes because things are about to get seriously saucy. Yes, friends, today is the day Lord of the Wings opens its doors at Robina Town Centre! Prepare your tastebuds for wings, rings and all of the delicious things.
Joining sibling venues at Indooroopilly and Carindale, Lord of the Wings has ventured south to give Gold Coasters the first taste of its famous finger-lickin’ North American nosh. As you can probably deduct from the name wings are the hero here with three different types on offer – traditional, grilled or boneless smothered in your choice of 20 different sauces ranging from the mild honey mustard through to the eye-watering buffalo suicide sauce, which is every bit as spicy as it sounds. The rest of the menu features a who’s who of American favourites including loaded fries, seriously stacked burgers, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, nachos, chilli dogs and ribs. Not to be outdone by the fare, the drinks list is equally jaw-dropping and offers American and local craft beers and ciders on tap, adult shakes, spiked soda floats (which are kind of like the ones you remember from your childhood, except with booze, obviously), Corona-ritas (a margarita slushy topped with an ice-cold Corona, in case you were wondering), alcoholic slushies, milkshakes and fresh juices, just in case you need a side of health.
Lord of the Wings has scored itself a primo spot along The Promenade dining precinct and boasts a family-friendly sports diner kind of vibe with an impressive white brick fit-out, big screens dedicated to sports of all kinds and booth-style seating. Patrons will be able to select their choice of chow through iPads on each table, meaning you can order seconds (or thirds, we aren’t here to judge) without sheepishly grabbing the staff’s attention. What are you waiting for? Grab your buddies and get ready to feast.
