A lobster roll and champagne pop-up has landed on the Gold Coast

Lobster lovers, start licking your buttery lips. A pop-up restaurant serving hot lobster rolls with truffle fries and Veuve Clicquot champagne has landed on the Gold Coast. After sell-out pop-ups in Sydney and Melbourne, popular temporary restaurant Lobster Shack will hit Broadbeach this Friday January 5, operating daily until January 28.

The fancy lobster and champagne experience will serve mouth-watering lobster rolls with a side of parmesan truffle fries for $35, or you can pair it with a glass of Veuve for $50. Lobster Shack’s delicious rolls feature whole hot wild-caught Clearwater Maine lobster tails, which are slow cooked in a butter bath and served in a toasted brioche bun with a lashing of buttermilk slaw. Are you drooling yet? You should be.

Lobster Shack, which is the brainchild of chef Jeff Shroeter, is designed to give diners a taste of the finer things in life – lobsters, champagne and truffles – in a casual setting without having to pay hundreds of dollars. So, if you’ve avoided ordering lobster at restaurants because of the price tag, then here’s your chance to experience the tender buttery goodness … and wash it down with a glass of French bubbles like a total baller.

Lobster Shack pop-up will be located at 20 Queensland Avenue (in a vacant space neighbouring Sage restaurant) and will operate from 12:00–9:00 pm daily (or until sold out) from January 5–28. For more details (including how to order in advance) head to our Event Guide.
