Only parents can truly understand the stress of the school morning rush – tantrums, nagging and disorganisation can throw a spanner in the works when trying to leave on time. Oh, and we’re not even counting the other necessities. You know, like getting the kids to wolf down a nutritious breakfast and remembering to pack their school lunch. Well now there’s a service that’s helping you get more organised on those taxing mornings – Lilly’s Little Lunchbox. This Brisbane-based business is helping remove hassle and headaches by delivering fresh lunches and smoothies to homes, schools and daycares from the Sunshine Coast to Byron Bay.

Lilly’s Little Lunchbox is removing the stress out of preparing daily lunches by having them delivered directly to your door. The nourishing menu, designed by Brisbane mum Cara Aprile (who has a background in nutrition and dietetics), changes every fortnight and is made using high-quality produce from local suppliers and wholesalers while at times shopping at Harris Farm Markets in Clayfield and The Standard Market Company in New Farm for specialty goods to include in meals. The jam-packed selection includes lunch packs (which can be ordered in three, four or five-day bundles), sandwich boxes, grazing boxes and individual baked goods. A typical lunch box is a healthy spread that contains fruit, vegetables, a main and an energy snack, focusing on the five core food groups – fruit, veg, dairy, grains and protein.

In addition to the pre-packed nutritious lunches that Lilly’s Little Lunchbox offers, the business is also slinging pre-made smoothies perfect for both little ones and time-poor adults. The current range of flavours includes tropical mango, pink berry, choc peanut, and green machine – a green apple, kiwi fruit, spinach, passionfruit and chia-seed concoction. The sip-worthy drinks are made using nothing but whole fruit and veg plus real seeds and nuts, and come in a sealed package so all you have to do is blend it up when you’re feeling thirsty. To make things extra convenient, Lilly’s Little Lunchbox delivers to homes from the Sunshine Coast to Northern New South Wales, including Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast and Toowoomba.

To start making your mornings easier, take a gander at the Lilly’s Little Lunchbox website. Now all you have to do is remind the kids to brush their teeth!
