Enjoy destination-inspired sips and beachside snacks at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort’s new Lagoon Beach Club
As we enter summer, our craving for sun-soaked drinks and snacks start to set in. Enter InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort’s new scorching-hot $2.5 million beach club, which is serving up Euro-summer vibes on the Gold Coast – no plane ticket required.
After four months of renovations, Lagoon Beach Club opened its doors to revellers on Friday December 1, supplying endless sipping, snacking and swimming adventures to guests. A first-of-its-kind for the northern Gold Coast, Lagoon Beach Club is all about European summer vacay vibes. Once you’ve had your fill of flavoursome fare and tasty tipples, you can jump into the resort’s expansive one-acre beach pool (after you’ve waited the appropriate time for your food to settle, of course). For $30 per person, guests are granted an all-day pass to make use of the lagoon and pool facilities at their leisure. Please note Resort Pass availability is limited and bookings are essential.
While you may think the enormous one-acre pool is Lagoon Beach Club’s main attraction, in our opinion it’s actually the salivation-inducing selection of food and beverage options. A mouth-watering menu that features chilled seafood – think buckets of Mooloolaba prawns and freshly shucked oysters – and sharing platters, alongside a smorgasbord of small bites, salads, burgers and gourmet pizzas is paired with a carefully curated list of delicious drinks. You can enjoy local beers on tap, refreshing ciders and seltzers, a range of premium wines and a bevy of classic and vacation-inspired cocktails. Our picks would be the Chilli Sunset (White Oat mango chilli gin, Aperol, pineapple juice and passionfruit pulp), Sunset Colada (Capricorn pineapple rum, lychee liqueur, strawberry puree, guava juice and coconut cream) and Island Oasis (1800 coconut tequila, coconut rum and triple sec).
