Bespoke Japanese dining to ignite the senses – Omakase at Kiyomi is here to stay

If your tastebuds tingle at the thought of sashimi so fresh you can still hear the rolling waves of the ocean in which it was caught, then get excited for executive chef Chase Kojima’s Omakase offering at Kiyomi. This 20-course degustation of Japanese delights is accompanied by an expertly paired sake flight that will leave you floating on cloud nine after every mouthful.

After the incredible popularity of its special Omakase events, the team behind Kiyomi at The Star Gold Coast has decided to include it as a mainstay. From March 29, you and up to five other guests can book in for this unforgettable sensory experience at the award-winning restaurant. Get ready to treat yourself to a mid-week delight, with ongoing seatings available at 6:30 pm from Tuesday to Thursday.

Upon arrival, you’ll take a front-row seat to the action and watch the chefs curate a degustation based on the freshest ingredients of the day. Be entranced by a kaleidoscope of flavours, paired to perfection with some of Japan’s finest sake. While the menu will differ from day to day, prepare yourself for the likes of grilled black cobia and Japanese curry butter (ooohhhh) or Chase’s signature seared scampi topped with foie gras, apple, shiso and karashi miso (ahhhhh). Regardless of what the chefs serve up, you can be sure that each bite-sized morsel will dance across your tastebuds and transport you to Japan.

From March 29–31, Chase will be here on the Gold Coast to launch the new offering, ready to entrance eager diners with an interactive showcase of his world-class skills and techniques. Bookings are incredibly limited, so be quick to secure your spot to avoid missing the chance to experience his culinary prowess. Don’t fret, though, as the expert chefs at Kiyomi will continue to serve up this next-level experience for guests once he heads back to Sydney.

If you love Japanese cuisine, salivate at the prospect of fresh sashimi and like your meals served with side of performative prowess, then be sure to add the Omakase experience at Kiyomi to your list of must-dos.
