The menu is bursting with flavours that are inspired by the owners’ Lebanese and Turkish/Greek heritage including zaatar, dukka, sumac, cumin and cardamon. The food is not rich with creams and butters, but rather fresh with spices giving each dish depth and character. Kick-start your morning with Kazbah’s Famous Breakfast, a lamb mince tagine with sucuk, spinach, roast capsicum, tomato, caramelised onion, fetta and eggs. Or the Casablanca Royal that delivers 12-hour braised lamb shoulder, roast vegetables, sultana jam. Fresh ingredients are sourced locally while some dry goods are imported to keep things authentic. For anyone who has had the pleasure of traditional Turkish coffee, Kazbah is likely to be your new favourite haunt.
