It’s love, not like – devour Nobby Beach nood-slinger I Like Ramen’s brand-new menu
Whether you first came across I Like Ramen at its Brisbane outpost or discovered its delicious bowls of slurpy goodness when the much-loved purveyor of plant-based eats made its way down the coast to its Nobby Beach locale, its likely that you’ve fallen in love with I Like Ramen. There’s nothing quite like a soul-warming serving of ramen during winter, so now is the perfect time to work your way through every new item on the menu – we won’t judge.
The new creations gracing the I Like Ramen menu include new takes on all of your classic favourites plus an array of delicious new additions to the menu. Rather than completely changing, the offering is just ‘growing up’ – tweaks and changes to the recipes and cooking processes mean that the already delicious ramen bowls will now be extra healthy and flavoursome. From adding miso to the broth at a later time to preserve nutrients of the umami mineral-packed paste, to an array of new topping options, these are truly nutritious noods. There are six levelled-up ramen bowls on the menu, including mushroom ramen piled high with crispy enoki mushrooms and the kimchi ramen topped with organic, locally made tofu and drool-inducing smoky corn ribs.
For those that don’t love ramen, or simply feel like changing it up, select one of the six donburis on offer – with toppings from sticky eggplant to crispy plant-based prawn, there’s a delicious and nourishing rice bowl for pretty much everyone. If you just can’t go past kicking off your meal with the pillowy bao, never fear – the puffy handfuls of goodness are staying on the menu. With a few of diner’s favourite fillings (like the plum-glazed “duck”) remaining alongside some newcomers such as locally made organic tofu smothered in satay sauce, it’s hard to stop at one – or a few.
