Mother’s Day is creeping up quickly, friends. Whilst we may often opt for the grocery store chocolate option when gift giving this time of year, we think you should try something a little bit different – but just as tasty. To help you out, Hey Tiger has teamed up with Brisbane-based artist Rachael Sarra for a limited-edition collection of chocolate bars that are just as pretty as they taste good.

So we can celebrate the Mums that gave birth to us and the land that has nurtured us this Mother’s Day, the confectionary heroes at Hey Tiger have collaborated with local artist Rachael Sarra to create four new chocolate bars that mix delicious native ingredients together with a Hey Tiger twist. The dreamy flavour squad includes Navigate (nutty wattleseed with crunchy caramel toffee and caramelised white chocolate), Connect (a velvety mix of native honey roasted macadamias and homemade brownies), Energise (Davidson’s plum and pepperberry jelly in creamy milk chocolate) and Heal (native lemon myrtle and sherbet blended together in a rich dark chocolate).

For those unacquainted with Rachael Sarra, she is a contemporary Aboriginal artist and designer (you can squiz some of her vibrant pieces via her Instagram) from Goreng Goreng Country. A regular collaborator with Australian brands, Rachael uses art as a tool in storytelling to educate and share Aboriginal culture. All four of the limited-edition Hey Tiger bars are wrapped in Rachael’s powerful artwork, making each chocolate a perfect gift this Mother’s Day – and thankfully, one that doesn’t require extra wrapping. To grab yourself *ahem* Mum a bar, hop over to the Hey Tiger website.
