Skip the servo pie and feast on tacos and tortas from Hail Mary Snack Bar + Kitchen
If you work in or around Burleigh’s industrial precinct surrounding Ern Harley Drive, we have some news that’s guaranteed to have you salivating. Burleigh’s much-loved Mexican joint Hail Mary has ventured to the ‘burbs to open a taco-slinging tuckshop to jazz up your weekday lunches. Say hello to Hail Mary Snack Bar + Kitchen.
Pesky hunger pangs can strike at any time. For us, the familiar rumble tends to kick in the nearer we get to Burleigh’s industrial corridor as we know we’re just a burrito toss away from Hail Mary’s brand-new takeaway-centric outpost. It was a case of two birds one stone for Hail Mary’s owner Simon Oxley, who was searching for an additional commercial kitchen to help with food prep for the bustling Burleigh business. While it may not be winning any beauty contests for its fit-out, the snack bar churns out the same quality Mexican nosh that the restaurant is known for – think massive stuffed burritos, tasty tacos available in an array of combinations including its signature snapper and mango, pulled pork and cajun fried chicken.
To cater to the local crowd the menu at Hail Mary Snack Bar + Kitchen has expanded to include all-day breakfast from 6:30 am including bacon-and-egg loaded burritos and breakfast rolls. From 10:00 am, there’s a couple of burgers, a hotdog and some seriously drool-inducing tortas, which is a Mexican-style toasted sandwich roll filled with crispy pork belly, fried chicken, slow-cooked beef brisket or halloumi. Priced between $11 and $12, the tortas are also a bargain. If you’re in need of a little pick-me-up alongside your feast, they’ve got Burleigh’s Quest Coffee flowing through the machines.
Hungry? Hail Mary Snack Bar + Kitchen is open from Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 2:00 pm. Oh, and did we mention, there’s free delivery within 3-kms.
