Soak and snack your worries away at Tallebudgera’s new sanctuary Greenhouse the Bathhouse

Credited for introducing the communal bathhouse concept to the Gold Coast back in 2017 with their beautiful white-washed space in Burleigh Heads, the Greenhouse team – headed by sisters Charlie and Natalie Evans alongside Phoebe Venz – has come a long way. Fast forward six years and the trio has opened the doors to an exceptional new venue that has completely transformed the former Teavine House into an oasis of calm and tranquillity. The brand-new Greenhouse the Bathhouse, located on a sprawling property at the entrance of Tallebudgera Valley, represents a serious glow-up and brings their famed plant-based restaurant and bathhouse under one roof. Here’s everything you need to know …

We love a local success story, and looking around the brand-new Greenhouse the Bathhouse in Tallebudgera Valley, you can’t but feel happy for the trio who have worked relentlessly for the past 10 years to achieve their dream. From humble beginnings operating the Greenhouse Factory in Kirra, the past few years have been a whirlwind for the Greenhouse gals, experiencing rapid expansion to include Miami’s beloved Greenhouse Canteen & Bar, their original bathhouse in Burleigh Heads alongside franchised venues in Brisbane and abroad. Throughout it all, the family run aspect has remained an integral part of their operations, with Natalie and Charlie’s mum part of the kitchen team. Covid and personal heartbreak prompted the team to not only reassess what they wanted from their lives, but also their business, and the tough decision was made to close the Miami location and channel all of their efforts into one exceptional venue that brought all of their different identities together in one location.  The venue, with the help of some savvy investors, is being viewed as a long-term project that will be delivered in stages. The first is the bathhouse, which opened two months ago. The new facility has expanded to include six treatment rooms for blissful, intuitive massages that use therapeutic techniques to facilitate the release of emotional and energetic blockages. Outside, guests can embark on a self-guided rotation of two heated magnesium-infused hydrotherapy spas, a custom-built wet steam room, red cedar sauna, magnesium plunge pool, or soak in the rays on the sun terrace.

Just this week, the doors to the brand-new onsite restaurant Greenhouse Canteen and Bar opened its doors. Fans of Miami’s plant-based paradise will be pleased to know that the menu remains unchanged. The offering opens with ‘small eats’ such as arancini balls, Korean rice cakes and the famous raw tacos, through to larger bites of pumpkin Alfredo gnocchi, jackfruit nachos and a Vietnamese pancake. If you’re feeling a touch parched from the soak session, you’re in luck as there is a full bar with a tightly curated clutch of  bubbles, wines, beers and cocktails on offer. The  girls have some pretty exciting plans for future chapters of this story, including evening retreats, bridal parties and bespoke weddings.
