If the Greek writing on the wall is anything to go by, Greek Street Grill is the real deal. Be tempted by a myriad of mighty meals including no less than eight different gyros ranging from the traditional pork filling with tomato, onion, chips and Tzatziki to the cheese lovers delight; halloumi with lettuce, tomato, olives and citronette. Opt for the proper Greek experience and tuck into one of the platters that are designed to share. The Pita Club Sandwich that puts a Greek twist on a traditional classic is more than enough for two people. The sizeable sandwich contains chicken gyros, kefalograviera cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, regular fries and two dipping sauces and is the only one of its kind in Australia. Wash it all down with a Mythos beer and finish your feast with a piece of homemade flaky baklava.

Inspired by his heritage, the eatery’s owner and chef of 27-years, Theo Kostoglou, set out to deliver an authentic souvlaki experience to the people of the Gold Coast. The emphasis here is on honest and genuine Greek flavours. While the vast majority of the produce is sourced locally, the pita has to be imported from Greece to maintain authenticity. The meat, while it may spin on a vertical rotisserie, is a far cry from your standard 3 am kebab meat and is extremely trim.
