Goodness Gracias brings Latin flavour to Palm Beach

Aiming to fill the void for delicious, fresh takeaway food that doesn’t break the bank, Goodness Gracias has transformed the space next to Genki Cafe in Palm Beach into the coast’s brightest little takeaway cocina.

Whilst having coffee one day, Kristal from Pop Taco and Leila from Pacific Pillow Co toyed with the idea of creating a burrito bar in the old juice shop on the Gold Coast Highway. Fast forward eight short weeks and Goodness Gracias has opened its doors and Palm Beach locals have been quick to embrace the cheerful new venue with open arms. Despite their original intentions, the menu has grown substantially from just offering burritos to also include zesty, flavourful salads, grain bowls and miscellaneous bits and bobs such as Mexico city churros served with salted caramel. If you’re in the mood for a fresh, healthy and quick lunch that offers a refreshing change from your regular tuna salad, pop in for a tangy Yucatean pulled pork burrito or tuck into an Amazon Anti-Ox salad; mixed leaves, pickled fennel, brazola and avocado and topped with house-made acai dressing. If you find yourself somewhere between too hungry for a salad but not quite hungry enough for a burrito, opt for the bread envy bowl, a brilliant hybrid of the two. After 5:00 pm, Goodness Gracias adds a selection of mighty fine tacos to the list including beef, pork, mushroom and a vegan-friendly garden variety. Round out your meal with one of the venue’s seriously delicious shakes that range from the classics through to pimped concoctions including the vegan mayan shake, a devilish blend of dark and rich vegan chocolate sorbet, almond milk and banana.

Combining Kristal’s exceptional culinary prowess and Leila’s ability to find gaps in the local vegetarian and vegan scene, Goodness Gracias caters to a range of dietary variations including vegetarians, vegans, gluten sensitivities as well as conscious carnivores. There are plans to roll out office deliveries down the track but for now the ladies are focussing their efforts on dishing up flavourful, fresh Latin fare for you to feed the tribe regularly and economically.
