Free burgs at Ze Pickle
What’s better than wrapping your mitts around a big, beautiful burger? Wrapping your mitts around a big, beautiful free burger. Friends, Burleigh’s original burger bar Ze Pickle is celebrating nine incredible years by slinging free burgers this Thursday (October 7) from 5:00 pm. Yes, free. Here’s the fine print – it’s limited to one Cheeze burger and one Jarritos drink per person, takeaway only. Oh, and it’s first in first served, so guess where you’ll find us?
Strawberry Fields Caprioska from Miami Booze Traders
Australian strawberry farmers are doing it tough right now, with a 50-percent drop in demand due to lockdowns across the country. Farmers are asking people to buy more strawberries, and you don’t need to ask Miami Booze Traders twice! The crew, who stole our hearts with their Purple Haze Margarita, are back at it in a bid to support local farmers while making delicious cocktails – that’s what we call a win-win! You’ll find them snapping up the strawbs at Burleigh Market every Saturday morning, supporting the Chambers Flat Strawberry Farm. Whilst exact details of the release date are being kept under wraps for the moment, we’re pretty sure the Strawberry Fields Caipiroska will be your new best friend this summer. Simply shake, pour over ice, add your garnish and voila! The Strawberry Fields Caprioska will be available in ‘try me’ three, six and 20 packs. Stay up-to-date with Miami Booze Traders product drops by signing up to their mailing list online or swing them a like on social media – Instagram, Facebook.
Munch your way through springtime snacks at Fig + Frankie’s
If you’re yet to sample the fare at Broadbeach’s Fig + Frankie’s, consider this the invitation you’ve been waiting for. The pretty peach-hued cocktail bar and noshery has unveiled a brand-new springtime menu that’s filled with mouth-watering bites such as crispy halloumi squares sprinkled with rosemary salt and drizzled with truffle honey (yum!), caramelised fig and burrata and roasted pumpkin, hummus, macadamia and pickled onion tacos. Skip over to Fig + Frankie’s Instagram for a sneak peek, but be warned, it’ll make you hungry.
Oktoberfest at Robina Pavilion
Whilst many of the city’s planned Oktoberfest celebrations became casualties of COVID, Robina Pavilion is giving you 15 excellent reasons to dust off your lederhosen and don your dirndl and fedoras. In a nod to the humble sausage, the venue has created the inaugural ‘Week of Weiner’ dishing up $15 steins, schnapps and specials on German cuisine (including pork knuckle and buttery pretzels) from Monday October 11 to Sunday October 17. It’s said that a balanced diet is a beer in each hand, and we’re all about balance. Book a table here.
Knock Off Fridays at Beats ‘N’ Feeds
Beats ‘N’ Feeds has just arrived at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse, the chameleon-like and rainbow-hued Burleigh Heads space that features pop-up events, vintage rack sales and live music aplenty. To celebrate the opening of the venue’s new dining offering, Beats ‘N’ Feeds are serving up the ultimate Friday feed – $5 fish tacos and $20 jugs of Sone & Wood or Young Henry’s. What a combo. Sit back in the sunshine and chow down on some top-notch bites while you get pumped for the weekend. Cheers!
